FLIGHT DESIGN UNVEILS NEW C4 FOUR SEAT MODEL

AirVenture to be First Showing in United States of Full Size Mockup

When the full-size mockup of Flight Design’s first-ever four seat aircraft was unveiled at Aero in Friedrichshafen, Germany in mid-April this year, the striking aircraft was an instant hit with customers. The C4 logged 30 orders in the four-day event. As EAA’s AirVenture Oshkosh show rapidly approaches, the C4 has landed in America and will be presented as a full scale mockup and available for up close viewing. Flight Design will also be busy taking special C4 “Early Bird” orders which provide customers a delivery position in the first 100 serial-produced aircraft plus a $10,000 discount from the already attractive list price. Airborne ash from these volcanoes represents a major expense for airlines and airports plus inconvenience for passengers. The Eyjafjallajökull eruption, in April 2010, caused the largest closure of European airspace since World War II, with losses estimated at between 1.5 and 2.5 billion euros. In conjunction with Able Flight (http://www.ableflight.org/) and Purdue University’s Department of Aviation Technology, Flight Design and its Colorado dealer Peak Aviation supplied a CTLS with an installed Flight Design hand control system to allow students to earn their Sport Pilot certificate.
