FLIGHT DESIGN SIGNS CALIFORNIA DEALER

Sonoma Jet Center Joins the Flight Design Team

SOUTH WOODSTOCK, CONN. / November 16, 2011 — Continuing the Flight Design USA pattern of adding locations to better serve customers, west coast distributor Flight Design West recently engaged Sonoma Jet Center of Sonoma, California as a new Flight Design dealer. Because Flight Design USA sells and services the largest fleet of Light-Sport Aircraft in the United States and in preparation for the new four-seat C4, high quality organization such as Sonoma Jet Center, with vast experience and the highest levels of customer service, are valued additions to the Flight Design network.

Sonoma Jet Center will work through distributor Flight Design West in Las Vegas, Nevada, which has responsibility for the overall western region. Recently, on November 10th, Sonoma Jet Center hosted the Porsche Aircraft Experience, a high-end touring show of aircraft and automobiles.

“As we continue to grow the Flight Design national network, we are pleased to welcome Sonoma Jet Center,” stated John Gilmore, National Sales Manager for Flight Design USA. “Flight Design USA maintains a closely-monitored network of 35 outlets across America — including both CT aircraft dealerships and Flight Design Pilot Centers.”  Read the rest of this entry »

South East Aviation Show

Mint-Air, Dealer in the area reports that over 600 people, 40+Vendors,  LSAs to turboprops all  came to  the Southeast Aviation Show on 10/31/2011. The success for  a first year event was good in spite of the fact that the weather was not the greatest in the morning. Craig Fuller AOPA President even got snowed in and unfortunately, he didn’t make it.
Our booth was right next to the hangar which had education sessions all day, with a 10X10 tent and panel  powered up,   people were impressed by the all glass cockpit, and many had not seen the #1 LSA aircraft up close.

5th Annual USA CT Fly-In held in Page, Arizona

CTLS – CTsw – CT2K Enthusiasts Gathered in Page, Arizona

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA / October 27, 2011 – A flock of Flight Design CT series Light-Sport Aircraft flew in from all over the southwestern U.S. to attend the Fifth Annual National CT Fly-in in Page Arizona. The event took place over October 14-16, 2011.

NOW SEE the VIDEO HERE

Possessing the largest fleet in the Light-Sport Aircraft sector by a wide margin (nearly double the #2 seller), Flight Design is the most likely company to hold annual single-brand gatherings. Few other LSA producers have enough aircraft in a region to make such an event viable.

“Approximately 35 CTs attended the Fly-In,” observed John Doman, Director of Business Development and Global Sales & Marketing for Flight Design GmbH. Along with about 60 persons overall, John attended the Fly-in on behalf of manufacturer Flight Design GmbH of Germany. Most of the attendees were of retirement age, a common attribute among those buying and operating Light-Sport Aircraft, noted Doman. A few attendees were in the 25-40 age group. The majority of buyers purchased their CT for the ability to fly without an FAA Medical.

The 2011 LSA tour continues

Dallas Ft Worth set for an LSA invasion October 14-16

WE will have our CTLS, CTLE and the MC at these events!

Our partner Airtime Aviation of Tulsa OK.
Will be doing the demos:
Addison, Denton & Dallas Executive airports in the Dallas Ft Worth area are hosting the
2011 Dallas Ft Worth LSA tour. Aircraft  will be on display and demonstration flights
available at each of the locations. Bill Canino of Sportair USA, one of the participants
said “Not everyone interested in purchasing a plane can attend one of the larger shows
each year. The LSA Tours have been a great way to showcase these aircraft to a much
more localized and interested audience”. “This is the ideal format for people to check
out the top ten LSA’s without  the pressure or hassle of  a national show” said Randy
Schlitter of Rans Aircraft. “In fact, it’s probably the best format to see all the main LSA
players, and demo each model” he added. Read the rest of this entry »
